Itinerary
Day 1:
Overnight Flight
Discover a dramatic waterway where winding valleys give way to riverside cities and Alpine hamlets. Venture along the Rhine and Moselle and spend time in beloved European cities, getting a taste of the local culture at each stop along the way.
Day 2:
Amsterdam, Netherlands – Board Cruise Ship
Arrive in Amsterdam, the 800-year-old capital of the Netherlands, a city of narrow canals and stone bridges. As arrival times will vary, there is no scheduled sightseeing today. For those arriving earlier in the day, you may relax in the ship’s lounge and enjoy refreshments until your cabin is ready in the late afternoon. Or, if you’re ready to explore, consider visiting one of Amsterdam’s famed museums, such as the Van Gogh Museum** or the Anne Frank House.** This evening, meet in the lounge for a cocktail reception followed by a welcome aboard dinner. **The Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House are the two most popular sites in Amsterdam. Tickets are in high demand and are difficult to obtain on the day or close to the day of visit. If you are interested, we recommend that you purchase tickets online in advance through the museums’ official websites.
Day 3:
Amsterdam
Begin your day with a canal cruise led by a local expert, experiencing Amsterdam from a unique perspective as you glide along the city’s centuries-old canal system. Sail by charming cafés and famous 16th-century row houses stacked side-by-side. Once your tour concludes in the late morning, spend some time exploring the city however you wish. Perhaps you’ll stroll through the charming Jordaan district, or soak in the atmosphere at a canal-side café. This afternoon, relax as your ship departs the Netherlands and makes its way to Germany. Day 4:
Cologne, Germany
As the sun rises, glide along the Rhine River and pass through picturesque German landscapes dotted with medieval towns. Your journey brings you to Cologne, where you will join a guide for a walking tour of the city’s Gothic Old Town. Wander along cobblestone streets and admire the Cologne Cathedral, the Roman Dionysus mosaic, and the Romanesque church of St. Martin. Top off this walking tour with a tasting of Cologne’s famous Kölsch beer, before enjoying some free time this afternoon in this magnificent city. (B, L, D)
Day 5:
Winningen – Cochem – Winningen
Start your morning by traveling by coach to Cochem, a storybook town overlooking the water. Embark on a guided tour through the town and into Reichsburg Castle,**** a fortress perched high upon a hill with a stunning view of Cochem and the Moselle Valley below. Rejoin your ship in Winningen to spend a scenic afternoon and evening sailing along the Rhine and through the Lorelei Passage, the river’s narrowest point, named for a storied siren. (B, L, D)
***Winningen is only used as a docking place for the Cochem visit.
Day 6:
Speyer
The river takes you to Speyer, one of Germany’s oldest cities, where it’s your choice! Get to know Speyer on a walking tour where you’ll trace the story of Speyer’s Jewish community from the year 1084 to today, visiting significant UNESCO sites -OR- follow guides on a journey back in time to discover the everyday lives of citizens in the Middle Ages. Spend the afternoon as you wish, perhaps joining an optional excursion to Heidelberg, an ancient city of Renaissance buildings and castle ramparts. (B, L, D)
Day 7:
Strasbourg, France
Cross the French border and experience Strasbourg, a fairytale town that blends centuries of international influences to create its own unique culture. On a guided walking tour through the old quarter and a canal cruise along Petite France, take in the iconic timber-framed houses, the Cathedral of Notre Dame, and Place de la République. Make the most of your free time in the afternoon by exploring this perfectly preserved town. Aboard the ship, toast to the end of a fabulous journey at your farewell dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 8:
Breisach, Germany – Freiburg – Breisach
This morning, arrive back in Germany and travel by coach to Freiburg, the capital of the Black Forest region. Enjoy a guided tour through Freiburg’s beautifully preserved medieval Old Town set against the stunning backdrop of the Black Forest. Then return to Breisach, one of the oldest towns in the country, and spend the afternoon strolling through its picturesque alleys and colorful market square. Perhaps you’ll visit one of the town’s many cafés or ice cream shops before your ship departs for Basel. (B, L, D)
Day 9:
Basel, Switzerland – Disembark Ship – Tour Ends
Wish the river valleys goodbye as your tour comes to a close today. (B)
The driving distance from Basel to Zurich is 54 miles/87 kilometers and expected traveling time is 1.5 hours depending on traffic.

Terms and Conditions
A deposit of $898 per person is due upon reservation. Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. Final payment due by May 31, 2027. Deposits are refundable up until September 29, 2026.
The parties agree to indemnify each other and hold each other harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses or expenses, including attorney’s fees and costs, which either part, its agents or employees, shall at any time sustain or incur by reason of the acts, omissions or negligence on the part of the other party, its officers, agents or employees.
In any legal proceedings of any nature involving the interpretation, construction, application, or enforcement of any of the terms of this contract, the prevailing party shall be entitled to an award for reasonable attorney’s fees incurred in connection with the proceeding and any such proceeding must be conducted in Hot Springs, AR. This agreement and attachments shall be construed according to the laws of the State of Arkansas and Federal Laws of the United States.
The performance of this agreement is subject to termination by either party without liability upon the occurrence of any circumstance beyond the control of either party – such as but not limited to acts of God, war, government regulations, disaster, strikes, civil disorders, or other emergencies making it illegal or impossible for either party to substantially meet its performance obligations under this Agreement.
The Simply Travel Team makes every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for those with food allergies. Every effort is made to instruct our food suppliers on the severity of food allergies. In addition, there is always a risk of contamination. Some Items may contain allergen ingredients without prior notice due to manufacturer or unit substitutions. Those concerned with food allergies must be aware of this risk. Simply Travel, LLC is unable to assume any liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed, or items one may come into contact with while travelling with us. If there are any questions regarding specific menu item ingredient(s), one must consult the onsite manager to ensure that the particular menu item is free of said allergens before consuming.
Itinerary Changes
The operator reserves the right to vary itineraries should circumstances dictate, as well as cancel or reschedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements, or circumstances beyond its control. Hotels listed are to be used as a guide only unless specified as confirmed. Confirmed hotels are subject to change beyond our control. In this situation we will arrange an alternative property as similar as possible. The advertised tours require minimum numbers to depart. Should these not be met the operator reserves the right to cancel arrangements.
Cancellation Policy
Tour Cancellation: Simply Travel LLC reserves the right to cancel any tour due to lack of interest or participation. In the event of cancellation your tour will be refunded.
Customer Cancellation: Once booked, non-refundable. We can assist in transferring your booking (name change) at no additional charge excluding cruises.
