Known for its cascading waterfalls and dramatic gorges, the park covers an area of over 50 square miles. Over the course of its seven waterfalls, the Krka River changes an altitude of almost 800 feet. The pristine pools at the base of the falls take on a blue-green hue as they glisten vibrantly in the sunlight. You can admire the falls from the footpaths spreading throughout the park. Then, for a more intimate look at the Krka River, discover the area by boat. Additionally, Krka National Park is home to over 1000 different species of plants. Make sure to keep an eye out for birds fluttering overhead, because 225 species call this park home.
