Itinerary
Day 1:
ARRIVE SAN FRANCISCO
Today board your flight bound for the San Francisco Bay Area for your California Rail Discovery. Upon arrival meet your Tour Director and transfer to your hotel to begin a two-night stay in one of the world’s most beautiful cities, San Francisco. “The City by the Bay” highlights fascinating museums, world-class cuisine & amazing shopping. Tonight enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travelers at a popular restaurant in the Fisherman’s Wharf/Pier 39 area.

Day 2:
SAN FRANCISCO CITY TOUR & BAY CRUISE – MUIR WOODS
Today enjoy a San Francisco City Tour to see the Civic Center area, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park, Union Square, Seal Rocks & Pier 39. Experience a San Francisco Bay Cruise featuring views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz & the city’s skyline. This afternoon cross over the Golden Gate Bridge enroute to visit Muir Woods National Monument to see some of the oldest & the tallest Redwood trees in the world. Later enjoy time at leisure to browse the storefronts along Fisherman’s Wharf, sample a chowder filled sourdough bread bowl or take a Cable Car ride.

Day 3:
NAPA VALLEY WINERY – OLD SACRAMENTO WATERFRONT
This morning, travel into California’s famous Napa Valley, where hundreds of wineries prosper and stop for a Winery Tour & Tasting to sample some local wines while learning about wine making. While Napa is best known for its prodigious Cabernet Sauvignon production, growing conditions are favorable for a wide range of grapes. This afternoon, travel to the River City and Capital of California, Sacramento. Old Sacramento was the commercial hub of the Gold Rush Era & is filled with shops, restaurants and entertainment venues yet retains 1800’s charm with original storefronts and wooden sidewalks. Later check into your hotel for an overnight stay in the “River City”.

Day 4:
SACRAMENTO – SIERRA NEVADA RAIL JOURNEY – LAKE TAHOE
This morning, board an Amtrak Train for a Sierra Nevada Rail Journey through the beautiful snowcapped Sierra Nevada Mountains to the Lake Tahoe area. Disembark your train in Truckee and board your motor coach to drive to the spectacular year-round resort area of Lake Tahoe to spend the next three evenings in the popular and revitalized South Lake Tahoe/Stateline area.

Day 5:
RENO – VIRGINIA CITY
This morning, travel through historic Carson City, capital of the Silver State of Nevada. Stop in Carson City to visit the Nevada State Railroad Museum, dedicated to educating visitors about Nevada’s rich railroad history. The museum features a significant collection of locomotives, artifacts and memorabilia that showcase railroads and railroading in Nevada. Continue to Reno, the Biggest Little City in the World. Visit the famous National Automobile Museum, recognized as one of the top auto museums in the world featuring the original Harrah Auto Collection of gaming pioneer Bill Harrah. Then visit Virginia City, site of the Comstock Lode and once the richest place in the world. The famous Old West town was once the west’s mining metropolis and featured notable residents Mark Twain & Bret Harte. Return to your Lake Tahoe hotel for an evening at your own pace.

Day 6:
LAKE TAHOE CRUISE
Today enjoy a Lake Tahoe Paddle Wheeler Cruise with spectacular views of the picturesque Sierra Nevada Mountains and Emerald Bay which features the 1929 Nordic-style mansion Vikingsholm. Later enjoy some leisure time in the Lake Tahoe area. Maybe take a stroll down to the lake, do some shopping, take a gondola ride up the mountain or experience the amenities of your hotel. Tonight’s Farewell Dinner will be at a local restaurant in the area.

Day 7:
LAKE TAHOE – SACRAMENTO AIRPORT
This morning transfer to the Sacramento Airport & fly home with wonderful memories of your California Rail Discovery.

Terms and Conditions
This tour requires Deposit of $400 per person is due with Reservation Form to secure reservations. Reservations are taken on a first come, first served basis. Final Payment Due June 1, 2027.
The parties agree to indemnify each other and hold each other harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses or expenses, including attorney’s fees and costs, which either part, its agents or employees, shall at any time sustain or incur by reason of the acts, omissions or negligence on the part of the other party, its officers, agents or employees.
In any legal proceedings of any nature involving the interpretation, construction, application, or enforcement of any of the terms of this contract, the prevailing party shall be entitled to an award for reasonable attorney’s fees incurred in connection with the proceeding and any such proceeding must be conducted in Hot Springs, AR. This agreement and attachments shall be construed according to the laws of the State of Arkansas and Federal Laws of the United States.
The performance of this agreement is subject to termination by either party without liability upon the occurrence of any circumstance beyond the control of either party – such as but not limited to acts of God, war, government regulations, disaster, strikes, civil disorders, or other emergencies making it illegal or impossible for either party to substantially meet its performance obligations under this Agreement.
The Simply Travel Team makes every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for those with food allergies. Every effort is made to instruct our food suppliers on the severity of food allergies. In addition, there is always a risk of contamination. Some Items may contain allergen ingredients without prior notice due to manufacturer or unit substitutions. Those concerned with food allergies must be aware of this risk. Simply Travel, LLC is unable to assume any liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed, or items one may come into contact with while travelling with us. If there are any questions regarding specific menu item ingredient(s), one must consult the onsite manager to ensure that the particular menu item is free of said allergens before consuming.
Itinerary Changes
The operator reserves the right to vary itineraries should circumstances dictate, as well as cancel or reschedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements, or circumstances beyond its control. Hotels listed are to be used as a guide only unless specified as confirmed. Confirmed hotels are subject to change beyond our control. In this situation we will arrange an alternative property as similar as possible. The advertised tours require minimum numbers to depart. Should these not be met the operator reserves the right to cancel arrangements.
Cancellation Policy
Tour Cancellation: Simply Travel LLC reserves the right to cancel any tour due to lack of interest or participation. In the event of cancellation your tour will be refunded.
Customer Cancellation: Once booked, non-refundable. We can assist in transferring your booking (name change) at no additional charge excluding cruises.
