Day 2: Friday, May 17, 2024 London, England – Tour Begins
Welcome to London, a sophisticated metropolis with a timeless style all its own. Its bustling city streets are lined with beautiful gardens, fascinating museums, celebrated monuments and grand theaters – and you’ll be a part of it all! This evening, experience a classic British pastime when you join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner. (D)
Day 3: Saturday, May 18, 2024 London
Experience the London you’ve always imagined when you take a panoramic tour on a retro double-decker bus. Cruise past St Paul’s Cathedral and through the West End with a local expert, taking in Buckingham Palace. Visit Westminster Abbey, the towering Gothic church that has been home to royal coronations and weddings. Become acquainted with London’s trendiest borough on a walking culinary tour of the East End. Today you may spend your time independently exploring more of London’s treasures, or consider an optional excursion to Windsor Castle, which has been home of kings and queens for 9 centuries and is the oldest royal residence still in use today. (B)
Day 6: Tuesday, May 21, 2024 London – Greenwich – London
Peek into the city’s storied past with a visit to the Tower of London, uncovering the secrets of this 11th-century fortress. Then, see the Tower from a different perspective and hop on a cruise along the River Thames to Greenwich. Explore Greenwich Market, a lively collection of local stalls, specialty treats, and charming venues for lunch and shopping. Test your seafaring prowess onboard the Cutty Sark, a Victorian-style ship that served as a tea clipper.
